Big sigh of relief. Weight back down to 203.4 this morning. (Tuesday was 205.8) One weird thing I have discovered. If I wake up early and need to go to the bathroom, I weigh myself. Go back to sleep and then when I wake up again, weigh again. (I know, I'm pretty obsessed!) ;-) I will weigh up to two pounds LESS at the later time. If I get at least 8 hours of sleep, I will weigh less than if I have to get up earlier and not get the full 8 hours. Weird, huh? I don't understand it, but I will go by the later weight, of course. LOL Took measurements today, too and I've lost an inch off my waist. Hooray! I feel energized and ready to get back on track.
My husband left yesterday for 10 days in Korea. We've been married almost 20 years and I just HATE it when he's gone. I've been getting to bed earlier lately so I can get up with him in the morning. We so enjoyed having breakfasts together in England every morning and I told him I wished he didn't get up so early for work, so he has been getting up a bit later so I can get up with him. (I just couldn't do the 5:30 thing every day!) Last night, I went to bed late - it's like I just can't bear to go to bed when he's not there beside me. It doesn't feel right! So I slept in until 11am. Tonight I'll try to get to bed sooner so I don't get out of my good habits. I have noticed a difference in my health with the more regular hours. Much improved!
God has blessed me with such a wonderful hubby. I'm incredibly grateful to Him. I guess that's a big part of my health. :-) Now if we can just get back to our ballroom dancing - I enjoy that kind of exercise and have missed it due to our crazy summer with travels and such!

Congratulations on getting back on track! I am also finally losing weight again. (Please God, let it be a trend and not a fluke!)I was down to 204.4 this morning. Last week was 206.8.
Oh, come on, Jennifer! We can do it together. We each have around 4 pounds to go by September 1!!!!! Did my treadmill this morning for the first time in a while. I'm following the various intensity rule I read about in Prevention. When the second hand is on the 12, I increase the intensity for 20 seconds, then back to normal. 2 minute warm up, 16 minutes of varied intesity, then 2 minute cool down. I do the same thing on my stationary bike.
Congrats on your loss this week. I do the same thing with weighing and discovered the difference too. It is great hearing good things about marriage. I too am very happily married and loving every minute of my life with hubby. I will be thinking about you while your husband is away!

Congratulations! You are getting there. I love to see the scale going down. For so long I watched it climb and then finally threw the darned thing away. I am glad that the numbers are showing that you are doing what you need to do in terms of eating right, etc.
Something weird happens overnight. Usually I'm 2-3 pounds heavier at night before I hop into bed than I am in the morning. Last night I weighed 209 before I went to bed. I was so bummed. I thought oh I'll weigh 206 again tomorrow darnit!
I got up and weighed 203.2. Where the heck did almost 6 pounds go overnight???? I did sleep late, and I did use the bathroom a couple of time during the night, but 6 pounds? Weird, huh?
I am the same way jennifer that I usually weigh two pounds more at night than in the morning. I think it is just the whole gravity, eating throughout the day, and water thing.
Thanks, mama bear for commenting on my interview at Tales from the Scales. Your comments are always so encouraging!!

I feel exactly the same way about my husband being gone. If I'm not careful it's pathetically easy to get my days & nights all turned around if he's gone too long.
I also weigh more in the evening. And I notice that when I drink a LOAD of water(to the tune of a gallon) my weight gets really consistent at that 1st thing in the morning, after you pee before you shower weigh in. I need to get back to doing that & counting my calories again. Not to mention the exercising...
Yay you for actually doing it!
