Back up, though down from last week. :-) TOM approaches.
Finally got some answers on my daughter's problems. CT showed a LARGE 5cm cyst sitting on top of her bladder off the right ovary. So the urologist recommended seeing the gyn doc. So yesterday she had an internal ultrasound and today a follow-up with the gyn doc. (Her regular one is out of town until Monday, so she saw an alternate.) The ultrasound showed the cyst reducing, so it ruptured, which explains her increasing pain the past few days. Doctor thinks it's possible she has IC and endometriosis.

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter!!!
I'm sorry too. But, it must be a little relieving to finally have some answeres! (sad that answers are rare...hate doctors)
I hope she starts feeling better. Does not sound like fun at all. Rupturing...where does she go from here?
So glad you have a diagnosis and do hope she will be completely well soon.
Blessings
Well, since it ruptured, at least she doesn't have to have it surgically removed. The fluid will absorb back into her body. Doc said it would probably be 7-10 days of not feeling well. He said birth control pills can help prevent cysts. But all this crap started when she was put on birth control pills for her acne in January. So she's VERY resistant to that route again. Quite understandable. The doctor was kind of a jerk about it. Really tried to SCARE her into it. Doctors can't grasp the idea of a young person committed to abstinence. Will be researching homeopathic alternatives.
