Wednesday weigh in - Look Great in 2008

Today's weight - 199.0, a loss of .6 which I'm totally thrilled with since I had my period this past week! WOOT! So a total of 2lbs lost for the challenge so far. I'm hoping to really kick it into gear now, but this weekend will be a bit of a battle. Friends have invited us to stay with them at Estes Park and her parents are coming for Iowa and she said they "Love to cook for others." That makes me a little afraid! LOL But we'll be hiking in the COLD weather, so maybe it will even things out.

Down with a migraine yesterday and one is threatening this morning, too. Ugh. Need to up my water intake and maybe take my migraine med before it's full blown!

I always worry about social eating situations. But thank heavens for veggies, as long as they are not smothered in cheese.

Congrats on your loss, I am thrilled for you! Onward and DOWNward!!

Hurray on the weight loss!

Social situations always get me too. Nibble and talk so much you can't eat as much. Of course, have fun!

Hope you're feeling better. Any sign of a headache, I run for pain meds.

Thanks for the nice visit you are very encouraging. I hope the storm (migraine) passes you by. Try shewing gum a sugarless like extra. It heals the nerves to. Look at the feelings It will be a "its no wonder" than you'll be able to take back your power.
Be embraced!

Thanks, everyone! Actually, Donetta, if I have a headache at all, I have to stay away from the sugarless gums. The sweeteners they use are my triggers for migraines! :-P Did my workout and drank several glasses of water so feeling better.

The only thing I've found that works for my migraines is Alleve taken with something caffienated. I was doing this for years and the ex laughed at me, saying I was counteracting the medicine - then a study came out showing that it actually kicks in better with caffiene. Neener neener on him. *chuckle*

I'm sure you'll do fine on your visit - just imagine me doing the cheerleading thing, waving my pompoms (left over from 3rd grade cheer squad, mind you) and chanting, "You can do it, if you try it - harder, harder!"

If it doesn't inspire you, it'll make you lose your appetite. *shrug* Whatever works. hahahaha

Have a great trip!

Hooray for you!! Good luck with the upcoming weekend -- when someone else does the cooking I always tend to lose a bit of control, but I've learned that it's actually quite satisfactory to 'put on a show' for people and just nibble here and there and pretend I always have a TON of self-discipline! Whether people fall for the act or not, the important thing is I'm not eating as much as I used to in social settings!!!

Congrats on your loss! Sorry about the migraine - those are the pits!

Thanks for the tips on alternating walking/weights. That really was my plan, but I walk when my walking partner can. I may alternate the days of doing the weights and crunches, even if I'm walking on the same day - I'll get it evened out somehow! I'm just happy to be doing anything at all right now!!!

Watch out for lb. He lurks in weekends away!
I'm sure your good progress so far will help you resist too much temptation.
