New to me, anyway! It's called "I Lost it!" and they have 2 weight loss stories during a half hour. I was disappointed that the first one was weight loss surgery. I don't mean to diminish their accomplishment, I just like hearing about the people who did it strictly with hard work. It seems like two different categories to me. There were 2 episodes on and I did enjoy hearing about the journeys of all of them. One man lost over 100 pounds in six months without surgery! (And I thought my hubby did it fast in a year!) The guy on TV did it the low carb way, which I really don't care for. I just think cutting out anything like that can be unhealthy and after reading about the women who had memory problems on the low-carb diet, but regained it as soon as they started eating carbs again, it seems like something to avoid. Just sayin'. :-)
And a totally random thought - I love the two Sonic guys!!!! The other pairs just AREN'T FUNNY! :-D

I'm with you about low-carb. But, with the women in our blogger circle, it seems like they keep going back. And it is working for them, and they're happy so that's good... I just know that it is something I would never do. Just cross our fingers it won't seriously damage some of our blogger friends!
"I lost it" is an amazing show. I used to have those same thoughts about weightloss surgery, until I realized not everyone has hope. There are some who just desperately can't seem to get on track and stay there. I would much rather see someone go through surgery then to die of obesity.
I used to watch that last year all the time! Such great stories. I like to hear about the people that did it on their own too as the surgery isn't an option for me. Although, I do like to hear about their stories as well. The surgery isn't an easy way, most of the time it's the only way left.
I can't do low carb either. Just doesn't work for me!
LOL! I agree with this post. The low carb craziness AND the sonic guys... ;)
I may have to get cable again I miss Discovery Health, that show sounds inspirational.
I used to be a Navy spouse so my husband was gone TONS. He only goes to out of state job training once a year now though. But still! That long and in Korea? Hang in there, hope it goes fast. <3
I agree with you on the low carb diets - you may lose weight that way, but you'll also lose your health and your mind. Of course we should cut out refined carbs, but not all carbs...
Sounds like a great show!
Really great show, not only inspiring but also informative. Sort of like your blog! Thanks for all the great tips.

I love the Sonic guys, too!
And I'm with you on low-carbs. I believe in eating a "balanced" meal...but just a little of it! And thanks for all the encouragement you keep giving me...it means a lot to me.
(Giggle) Yep, it's not exactly new (I think it has been running for over a few years?) but I recently discovered it as well!
Truth be told, I have seriously considered getting a lap band but you know what... I suffer from no disorder, I'm a perfectly lazy 22 year old that CAN and WILL lose weight through diet/exercise ;)
