MamaBear says no to scale today

I got about six hours of sleep for two hours at a time, so I avoided the scale today. I'm always heavier when I get less than 8 hours of sleep. Had to get up and hook up my son's IV med, then get up and take him to the lab to get blood drawn, then go again 4 hours later.

Oh, and an added comment about weight loss surgery. I do think that it may be the only way for some people who need to lose a great deal of weight and I think it can be a great option. I had a cousin who was well over 400lbs who had it and she was sooooo happy afterward. But then she got a blood clot in her leg and died at the age of 40. It made me so sad. A friend of hers told my sister that she hadn't been taking very good care of herself or following doctor's orders. So if anyone out there has had it, please, please, please do what the doctor recommends. And take good care of yourself.

Oh, hey, I just found out. We don't need to work out anymore. There's a Nivea cream that will get rid of your cellulite and get you ready for a bikini! ;-) Sheesh!

Wow, it sounds like you had a busy night! I admire you for knowing when to weigh and when not to. I wish I could do that. Thanks for the great comment you left me.......and by the way I did "kick butt" on my test! (this couldn't have been a more appropriate comment) I will write about it someday in the future and tell you all about the details. Take care of your self and get some sleep! You are and inspiration.

Yes, hurray to not letting the scale take over your mind and emotions hehe :>

And I agree with what you said about following the doctor's recommendations. Many things that we do to our body cannot be reversed and our bodies surely deserve the best of what we can provide!!

If we believed every commercial out there... Too bad :(

What a terrible thing to have had happen. Yes, following doctors orders are essential!

My biggest worry in life is that, when I'm an old man, they'll invent some miracle cream that will replace exercise.

I'll wait until they bring out a muscle-and-endorphin cream before I stop exercising!

When I don't get enough sleep, I'm heavier also. =0

You know what, I think you are right! I couldn't sleep a couple nights ago and my fingers swelled up so badly that my ring almost cut off my circulation :o) hmm, we're onto something here!!

Wow...I have never made that connection between sleep and weighing more. I'll be on the look out for that in the future. I sure hope tonight brings rest for you and your son.

I hope you get some rest soon. Sleep is super important! This is a quick comment because I must go and buy some Nivea cream.
