And today I fell

Literally, fell. Got out of bed to go to the bathroom this morning and my bladder was full so I probably was moving a little more quickly than I should with POTS. As I got to the bathroom door, things were going black, so I grabbed the door frame on one side, the other hand grabbed things hanging on the over-the-door-rack which all came tumbling down, so I fell backward and sideways and slammed my upper back onto the corner of the cupboard attached to the wall opposite from the shower. I guess that was probably preferable to putting my head through the shower door, eh?

I will confess to several non-family friendly words coming out of my mouth. It HURT! Plus I was just PO'ed that I fell. I'm 49 years old, not NINETY! Felt like calling my cardiologist and telling him that he's an ass and why am I so much WORSE than when I first went to him?????????????

Weight is up and I'm just not going to worry about it right now. I'm PMSing on top of everything else and I'm CRANKY. I'm sure my hubby will validate the truth of that.

Oh, and I noticed after having cereal that my ear (just the right one now) got worse, so I'm going to do some trials with milk - avoiding it and using rice milk for a while. The POTS website did say that some patients do have problems with dairy. Of course my doctor would probably consider that "voodoo medicine." Stupid quack.

Oh no, June! :( :( :(

I'm so sorry you fell, so sorry you are feeling worse not better, and so sorry you've lost faith in your cardiologist. I had that problem with a urologist; why don't you ask your primary care physician for another cardiologist referral? :: hugs ::

Any way you could find a different dr? Doesn't sound like you're too fond of this one and not really getting the help you need.
Am glad the fall wasn't any worse but oh my I'm sorry you fell at all!
Lifting up prayers!
Psalms 27:7-9 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me...thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

Ow ow ow! My back is hurting just reading this! I am so sorry you took a tumble, and that your ear is getting worse. It seems like the problems just never end some days :(

I agree that if you and your cardiologist aren't meshing, and things seem to be going worse than better, it may be time to get a new pair of eyes on your file. Is it possible to get a new specialist on your insurance plan?

I'm so sorry. That is aweful :( You are finding a new dr, correct? I thought you had said that.
Considering that ALL medicine was discovered through plants and herbs, anyone mocking "alternative" med is ignorant. Grrr

If it makes you feel better, this morning I was making lunch for my husband and a jar of pickles fell off of the top shelf of the fridge and landed right on top of my foot. I bet we said those same choice words!

Hope you are ok, without bruises and such. Chin up. :-)

I am so sorry....but the way you talked about your doctor made me laugh....stupid quack...laughing again. Hope he is treating you properly.

Feel better. Dang it! I would be pissed if I hadn't felt good in a long time. So you're entitled to be mad. I said so!

No, not a great way to start the day. I'm sorry you hurt your back, but the choice of that over putting your head through the shower door was probably wise. :)

Wishing you better days ahead...

Oh, I know this was a few days ago, but just had to comment when I read it. I'm so sorry you are going through this right now. I hope that you can find a different doctor because yours does not sound very sympathetic or proactive.

Take care,
Diane

Wow, sorry about your painful fall. It must be really frustrating to deal with POTS.

Hope your back is better at least.
