Wednesday Weigh In

Well, I'm back to 197, the weight from a few weeks ago after being up quite a bit. So I lost 5 pounds this WEEK, but am only down 4 for the whole challenge. My weight and measurements are the same as they were on Oct 17th and that bugs me. But I'm maintaining good habits and still not feeling well. And it is that time of the month, so I guess it's good that I'm still in Onderland! I did make an app't to see the doctor on Monday. So hopefully I can ask him some questions about my "slow to lose weight" body. I've lost about 15 pounds in one YEAR. I know that's a healthy way to do it, but I really want to reach my goal before I turn 50 in 2010! ;-)

Woke up to a white world this morning. About 2 inches of snow. LOVE IT! Last night I was out in the hot tub and it was so clear, I was surprised to see snow this morning. And today is my son's 18th birthday! We no longer have any children in the home, it's all adults. Wow, does that feel WEIRD! If you want to see a pictorial history of him, go to my family blog.

Like you said, you are firmly planted in Onederland, which is progress. Maybe the Dr. will have some words of wisdom to share.

Have a great week-

Congrats on the weight loss. Are following a certain plan or diet or just watching what you eat? Maybe if you tried something different for a while it might make a difference.

5 lbs in one week! I wish I could get results like that! I've been working my butt off! I started out well, but now am only doing 2-3 lbs a week, which means I'll miss my Christmas goal :(

It's cool that your son is now 18... I have two groups of kids, and the younger two are a little ways away from that. There are times I wonder what it's going to be like to have a place to myself!

:) you'll make it by your 50th, no worries! :)

great job with the loss! And like Ive been saying, any kind of a loss or maitenance is amazing and something to be thankful for this year. And dont worry, you will make it before 2010! I also am a slower loser so I know how frustrating it is, but we will get there.

snow? sounds wonderful! We never get snow here.

We don't have a chance of getting snow here. It was sunny and 70 yesterday. But we'll be back in icky weather in a year or so, so I'll take this while I can get it. Enjoy that snow for me though - I do love it. (It's the WA rain that brings me down.)

Congrats on the loss after the vacation. I hope your doc will have some insight for you - and I hope he'll make sure to take all the time you need to go over everything. I hate when docs rush through questions and don't dig any further to help narrow things down!

My son has his check-up and shots today - I don't want him to be 18, but with shots on the agenda, I uh, kinda do. LOL Happy birthday to your "baby".

Keep up the habits and see if you can shake one up just a bit to see what happens. I know slow weight loss is frustrating (Oh, do I know...) but you will get there. You can do it!!

Here in New England it is sunny and around 50 degrees.

You are mimicking my weight loss to a tee... Slow is indeed frustrating, but persistence and the cumulative loss are what's important. The hardest thing for me is holding on to the MOJO... small losses are hard to maintain when you have a slip up!

Keep Fighting!@
