Uh-oh

After working hard all week helping my daughter get moved into her new apartment, she got laid off this morning! Yikes! Fortunately, she was really smart and has saved quite a bit of money since she started working. So she can probably do OK for 3 months or so. Starting Monday, she'll be spending several hours a day looking for a job. She has a couple of good leads, so she's going to spend time on her resume this weekend and we're still going to get furniture moved to her apartment. Poor kid. I know she'll get right back on her feet, though. She's a very sensible, mature young lady. But please say an extra prayer for her. Thanks!

And thanks to all of you for your kind comments on yesterday's post. :-D

Its soo unfortunate when people get laid off. Its happening a lot lately.
I pray everything works out for her. If she is interested in health and nutrition she might like more info on what I do part time for a living. Let me know. gould119@hotmail.com

Same thing happen to me right after I bought my first house! It was scary but just like your daughter, I had a good support system and parents that taught me to save. Ended up being the best thing that ever happened, and 3 weeks later, I was offer a job making exactly *twice* as much as I was making before! And to top it off, for a few weeks I was getting severance and my new double salary.

So that is what I wish for your daughter. :-)

That's too bad about your daughter. It's happened to me a couple times and things always work out.

Good luck to her!

That happened to my first husband just after we bought our first property too! Awful! But she really sounds sensible and I'm sure she'll be employed in no time - hopefully in a better position.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I pray that she bounces back from this and that it proves to be a blessing in disguise so she can find something even better!

This is a scary time but you have supported her well and she sounds so sensible.
